Description An internal error exists in the damon sysfs scheme add dirs() function. The function sets up the tried regions directory after the stats directory setup is complete. If the tried regions directory setup fails, the error path incorrectly attempts to release the tried regions directory instead of the stats directory. This leads to a leak of the stats directory object. Furthermore, if the failure occurs during the initial allocation of the tried regions directory, the scheme->tried regions field remains uninitialized, causing the kobject put() function to dereference uninitialized memory.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
