Description A reference leak occurs in the cpcap-battery supply driver. In the cpcap battery detect battery type() function, a reference to an nvmem device obtained through nvmem device find() is not released using nvmem device put() during success or read-failure paths. This results in a permanent reference leak that can be compounded by the driver's retry logic during subsequent battery property reads, preventing the nvmem device from being freed.
