Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the batman-adv module where the batadv send tt request() function incorrectly handles send buffer allocation failures. The function allocates a tt req node to prevent multiple TT requests from being sent to an originator simultaneously. However, due to an inverted logic check on the ret variable, the request is not properly cleaned up when allocation fails. This can lead to the loss of TT request information immediately after a send attempt, potentially resulting in request storms.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
