Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the drm/fb-helper component where fbdev output is synchronized to the vblank of CRTC 0 regardless of whether it is active. This leads to warnings and timeouts when the fbdev output is not on CRTC 0. The fix involves iterating through the list of CRTCs to synchronize only with the first active one. Additionally, the implementation requires distinct code paths for atomic and non-atomic drivers to avoid potential deadlocks and ensure correct locking context for plane and CRTC mutices.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
