Description A NULL pointer dereference occurs in the bitland-mifs-wmi driver during suspend and resume operations. The driver registers a control device and an event device, but the event device path returns early during the probe phase without initializing the data->pp dev platform profile device. Because power management sleep operations are registered globally, the event device triggers the bitland mifs wmi suspend() function, which passes the NULL data->pp dev variable into laptop profile get(). This results in a NULL pointer dereference within dev get drvdata(), causing a kernel Oops and interrupting the suspend sequence.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
