Description An issue exists in the Linux kernel where purged Buffer Objects (BOs) can lead to invalid cursor access. During a page table walk for binding, the function xe pt stage bind() skips initializing the xe res cursor for purged BOs. Subsequently, the functions xe pt hugepte possible() and xe pt scan 64K() fail to verify if the BO was purged before attempting to walk the cursor using xe res dma() and xe res next(). This lack of validation results in the use of uninitialized cursors, which triggers system warnings.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
