Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the md/raid10 component when write requests fail. The
raid10 make request() function acquires a writes pending reference using md write start() before dispatching requests. However, certain failure paths within the raid10 write request() function complete the bio and return without reaching the standard completion path, which causes the system to skip the necessary md write end() call.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
