Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
crypto: cavium/cpt component where the sg cleanup() function uses an incorrect loop index during the DMA buffer unmapping process. Specifically, the error path utilizes list[i] instead of list[j], which results in the leakage of successfully mapped entries and the repeated unmapping of the failed entry. DMA (Direct Memory Access) is a feature that allows hardware subsystems to access main system memory independently of the central processing unit.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
