Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the ASOC amd acp-sdw-legacy component where the
create sdw dailinks() function iterates through soc dais until it finds an entry with the initialised flag cleared. Because soc dais is allocated with exactly num ends entries, the loop reads past the end of the array if all entries are already initialised, leading to a slab-out-of-bounds read. This was identified by KASAN (Kernel Address Sanitizer), a dynamic memory error detector for the Linux kernel.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
