Description
An issue exists in the octeontx2-af driver where Physical Functions (PF) and Virtual Functions (VF) NIX Logical Functions (LFs) sharing a CGX Logical MAC (LMAC) reuse the same hardware PKIND programming. When HiGig2 or EDSA parsing is enabled, a VF NIX LF allocation can incorrectly reset the LMAC RX PKIND or the default TX parse configuration, overriding the PF setup. This is addressed by implementing
cgx get pkind() and rvu cgx is pkind config permitted() to ensure VFs skip cgx set pkind(), rvu npc set pkind(), and NIX AF LFX TX PARSE CFG updates when the LMAC utilizes NPC RX HIGIG PKIND or NPC RX EDSA PKIND.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
