Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak exists in the UDP tunnel NIC offload code. When device registration fails in
register netdevice(), the udp tunnel nic unregister() function may return early if the utn->work pending variable is set. Since failed registrations do not trigger a subsequent rebroadcast of the unregister notification, the struct udp tunnel nic allocated by udp tunnel nic alloc() is leaked permanently. The issue involves the udp tunnel nic unregister() function and the udp tunnel nic device sync work() function.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
