The plugin sandbox fails to restrict alternative file access methods, allowing a sandbox bypass. Attackers can import the
pathlib or io modules to read and write arbitrary files, which completely bypasses the restricted open file access controls.Recommendations
Update openssl encrypt to version 1.4.0 or later.
