Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
openssl encrypt versions prior to 1.4.0
Description
A logging bug exists in the
restore hidden modules() function that records module counts after they have been cleared, resulting in audit trails that incorrectly show zero restored modules. Furthermore, a race condition occurs between the process of hiding modules and the installation of the import hook, which may allow a separate thread to re-import blocked modules in multi-threaded environments.Recommendations
Update to version 1.4.0 or later.
