Description
A flaw in the
governance-policy-addon-controller component allows a user with permissions to annotate the namespaced ManagedClusterAddOn resource to override the governance-policy container image. This can enable an attacker to execute a controlled image with cluster-admin privileges on the managed cluster, resulting in arbitrary code execution and privilege escalation.Recommendations
