Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Submariner operator (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Submariner operator where the Submariner Custom Resource (CR), used for network connectivity configuration, stores the IPsec pre-shared key (PSK) in an unencrypted format. Because this key is essential for securing communication between Kubernetes clusters, unauthorized access to it allows an attacker to passively decrypt network traffic between any two clusters in the mesh, leading to the disclosure of sensitive information.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
