Description
BuildKit reads
/etc/passwd and /etc/group files without an upper bound when resolving a username to a user or group identifier within the executor/oci/user.go and solver/llbsolver/ops/user linux.go files. A malicious base image or build can provide oversized files to exhaust memory during this resolution process, leading to an out-of-memory termination of the buildkitd process.Recommendations
