Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
search-indexer (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw in the delta-sync write paths allows a registered and authenticated managed cluster to tamper with or delete indexed search data belonging to another cluster. This occurs because the system fails to properly restrict UPDATE and DELETE operations to data owned by the calling cluster. An attacker can exploit this by crafting specific user identifiers (
UIDs) using a prefix from a different cluster.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
