Description
A path traversal issue exists in the
apport-unpack utility on Linux. This flaw allows an attacker to create or overwrite arbitrary files using the privileges of the executing user by manipulating key names within crash report files. Path traversal is a technique used to access files and directories that are stored outside the intended folder by using special characters like dot-dot-slash (../).Recommendations
