Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the Integrity Measurement Architecture (IMA) where action cache flags
IMA DONE MASK were not reset during file truncation. This could allow a file to bypass re-collection, re-measurement, re-auditing, and re-appraisal upon next access after being truncated. The fix involves instantiating the file truncate and path truncate Linux Security Module (LSM) hooks to ensure the cache flags are reset immediately when truncation is requested.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
