Description
An issue exists in the
setattr prepare() function within the fsverity component. The function incorrectly checks if fs-verity is enabled in the kernel. Because filesystems can contain fsverity files even when the feature is disabled, this check fails to prevent the truncation of fsverity files, which is the intended purpose of the validation.Recommendations
