Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A Use-After-Free (UAF) issue exists in the ALSA USB component. A previous fix for a UAF in the ump to endpoint() function introduced a new UAF because the system attempts to dereference the UMP endpoint object in a delayed context after the endpoint has already been released. Use-After-Free is a condition where a program continues to use a pointer after it has been freed, which can lead to crashes or unauthorized memory access.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
