Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
amba-pl011 serial driver where RS485 trigger hrtimers (high-resolution timers) are embedded in the devm-managed port and may fire after the port has been freed. Because the IRQ handler can arm a timer, the IRQ must be freed before canceling the timers to prevent a use-after-free scenario. Additionally, the RS485 stop process may arm a timer, and timers may remain active during the suspend-then-unbind path in the remove() function when shutdown is not called.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
