Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
rqspinlock mechanism where the destruction of the waiter queue is suppressed when a deadlock is detected. In ABBA deadlock scenarios, failing to reset the tail of the queue can cause the system to wait for a subsequent waiter to populate the node->next field. If no other waiter joins the queue, this can lead to intermittent stalls or an indefinite stall of the process.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
