Description An issue exists in the bnxt en driver where End of frame padding (EOP) on the AGG ring can cause zero padding at the end of one segment to overlap with the data of the subsequent segment. When Relaxed Ordering (RO)—a feature that allows memory operations to be completed out of order to improve performance—is enabled, this padding may overwrite valid data, leading to data corruption. This has been reported on some ARM systems using 57508 (P5) chips, as older chips (P5 and earlier) do not automatically disable RO when EOP is active.
Recommendations Disable EOP on all chips on the AGG rings when TPA is enabled.
