Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
vhost iotlb add range ctx() function where non-retiring tables can continue allocating entries even after reaching their configured limit. This occurs because the function only retires old entries when the table has a non-zero limit, has reached that limit, and has the VHOST IOTLB FLAG RETIRE flag set. Additionally, a stream of IOTLB updates could force repeated GFP ATOMIC allocations after the table limit is reached if retired map nodes are freed and reallocated instead of being reused.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
