Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions NLTK (affected versions not specified)
Description The nltk.parse.RecursiveDescentParser and SteppingRecursiveDescentParser functions enumerate parses top-down without a limit on recursive steps. A specially crafted context-free grammar can cause a short input to consume unbounded CPU resources or exhaust the Python recursion stack, leading to a denial of service by pinning the process indefinitely.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
