Description An out-of-bounds read occurs in the CAN::Application::parsePerformFunctionMessage component. This issue allows an attacker to trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by sending a specially crafted CAN message. An out-of-bounds read is a condition where the software reads data past the end of the intended buffer, which can lead to system instability or crashes.

Recommendations As a temporary mitigation, restrict the processing of CAN messages by the CAN::Application::parsePerformFunctionMessage component until a fix is applied. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
