Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw related to rxrpc, specifically a data-race warning and potential load/store tearing. The issue involves lockless accesses to
->last tx at, which can lead to inaccuracies in determining when to send keepalive packets. Additionally, tearing can occur on 32-bit architectures due to ->last tx at being a 64-bit value. The problem is addressed by switching to an unsigned integer for ->last tx at and storing only the least significant word of the time64 t.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
