Description A path traversal issue exists within the OPSWAT tarball component. This flaw allows an attacker to write arbitrary files with root privileges. Path traversal is a technique that allows an attacker to access and manipulate files or directories outside the intended folder by using special characters like dot-dot-slash (../).
