Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the ASOC SOF ipc4-topology component where the
ipc config data buffer for copier widgets is cached and not refreshed during suspend/resume cycles. While the underlying copier data and dma config tlv structures are updated, the cached payload sent to the firmware retains boot-time DMA channel assignments. This discrepancy leads to DMA channel conflicts, resulting in firmware errors and crashes.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
