Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the drm/amdgpu component where AMDGPU GEM CREATE failed to validate domain combinations. While domain bits were checked against AMDGPU GEM DOMAIN MASK, userspace could combine CPU, GTT, or VRAM with DOORBELL, GDS, GWS, or OA. This could cause the amdgpu bo placement from domain() function to exceed AMDGPU BO MAX PLACEMENTS, triggering a BUG ON() kernel panic. The flaw is handled within the amdgpu gem create ioctl() function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
