Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the s390/vfio ccw component when the
cp init() function fails. While the cp free() routine is used to unpin or free memory after successful I/O or when cp prefetch() fails, it cannot be used if cp init() fails and cp->initialized is not enabled. Although ccwchain handle ccw() attempts to call ccwchain free() for the current CCW segment, other segments allocated as part of the same channel program via Transfer in Channel are leaked.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
