Description
A heap buffer overflow can occur in the synaptics-rmi4 driver when the diagnostic report type is changed while streaming. Because V4L2 buffers are allocated based on the size at the start of the stream, changing the input mid-stream to a larger size can exceed the allocated buffer capacity. This is triggered via the
VIDIOC S INPUT operation.Recommendations
