Description An issue exists in the drm/shmem helper component where the ->huge fault handler fails to verify if a PMD (Page Middle Directory) huge page mapping exceeds the boundaries of the VMA (Virtual Memory Area). A VMA is a memory region that the kernel uses to manage the virtual address space of a process. Failure to perform this check can lead to improper memory mapping.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
