Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak exists in the Multipath TCP (MPTCP) receive path. Following a specific commit that allowed borrowing forward memory from subflows, errors occurring in the receive path before socket buffers (skbs) are queued into the receive queue fail to trigger the reclamation of forward-allocated memory. In pathological drop scenarios, this can cause forward memory to grow unboundedly.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
