VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the sch fq codel scheduler where qdisc tree reduce backlog is called during a peek operation before the qlen variable is restored. If qlen drops to zero while the peek operation still returns a socket buffer (skb), the parent's qlen notify callback may be executed prematurely. This can lead to the mistaken deactivation of the parent's class, potentially resulting in a general protection fault or wild memory access within the qfq deactivate agg() function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
