Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the iommufd component where the
iopt release pages() function calls dma buf unpin() without first acquiring the required dma resv lock. Because dma buf unpin() requires the caller to hold the exporter's dma resv lock, any execution of iommufd ioas destroy() or iommufd ioas unmap() that releases the final reference on DMABUF-backed iopt pages triggers a kernel warning.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
