Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL pointer dereference crash can occur in the tracing/mmiotrace component. The functions mmio trace rw() and mmio trace mapping() retrieve mmio trace array into tr and pass it to trace mmiotrace rw() and trace mmiotrace map(). If these functions are called while mmio trace array is NULL, such as before initialization or after being disabled, accessing tr->array buffer.buffer leads to a system crash.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
