Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
MongoDB Connector for BI (affected versions not specified)
Description
An unauthenticated party with network access to the port of a
mongosqld instance can generate excessive connection log activity to exhaust the storage of the configured log path. If a log write or log rotation operation fails due to this storage exhaustion, the system fails to handle the resulting error, causing the mongosqld process to terminate. This results in a denial of service for all connected SQL clients. The process will continue to crash upon startup until storage space is restored, and the diagnostic message explaining the failure is not recorded.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
