Description An issue exists in the RM3ConfigTool.exe binary where it searches directories in the system path for a required DLL. Due to incorrect default permissions, some of these directories may be writable by standard users. A local attacker can place a malicious DLL in one of these directories, which is then loaded and executed with Administrator/SYSTEM privileges when an administrator runs the tool.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
