Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions NGINX JavaScript (njs) (affected versions not specified) QuickJS (qjs) (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the js access handler when performing asynchronous request body processing. If an exception is thrown during asynchronous access-control evaluation before an explicit access denial is returned, the js access phase may fail open. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a crafted HTTP request to trigger an error in the access validation logic, potentially bypassing authentication or authorization to gain unauthorized access to protected resources. This is a data plane issue and does not expose the control plane.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
