Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A copy-paste error during F55 sensor detection causes the transmitter (TX) electrode count to be incorrectly assigned the value of the receiver (RX) electrode count. This incorrect value is propagated to the driver data and used by F54 to determine the diagnostics report size. On devices where the number of RX electrodes exceeds the number of TX electrodes, the perceived TX count is inflated, resulting in incorrect report size calculations and potential out-of-bounds buffer accesses.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
