Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
CAT versions prior to 3.1.0
Description
CAT uses the Java
String.hashCode() function as the only integrity check for session cookies without utilizing a server-side key. This allows attackers to forge valid checksums offline. By manipulating the x-forwarded-for header, attackers can bypass IP binding validation to create administrative sessions, granting full access to the system configuration.Recommendations
Update CAT to a version later than 3.1.0.
