Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Peppermint versions 0.5.5 and earlier
Description The software contains a hardcoded JSON Web Token (JWT) signing secret within the docker-compose.yml file. This allows unauthenticated attackers to forge session tokens for any account by using the published secret to create valid tokens for arbitrary user IDs, granting unauthorized access to protected endpoints.
Recommendations Update Peppermint to a version later than 0.5.5.
