Description An issue exists in the ipmi add smi() function where sysfs files are not fully removed upon registration failure. Specifically, the function creates nr users and nr msgs files before attempting to create the maintenance mode file. If the creation of maintenance mode fails, the error handling path only removes nr users, leaving the nr msgs sysfs attribute registered even after the interface reference is dropped.
