Description An out-of-bounds read occurs when connecting to a malicious SMB share, which may lead to the disclosure of kernel memory. This issue was addressed by implementing improved bounds checking. An out-of-bounds read is a condition where a program reads data past the end or before the beginning of the intended buffer.
