Description Buffer overflow vulnerabilities in the underlying operating system could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. A buffer overflow occurs when a program writes more data to a block of memory, or buffer, than it is designed to hold, potentially overwriting adjacent memory. Successful exploitation could enable an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the operating system, leading to complete system compromise.
