Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways (affected versions not specified)
Description
A buffer overflow occurs in a system service within the underlying operating system. This allows an unauthenticated adjacent attacker to trigger a denial-of-service by crashing the impacted service, which results in a temporary disruption of network operations. A buffer overflow is a condition where a process writes more data to a block of memory than it can hold, potentially overwriting adjacent memory.
