Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An out-of-bounds write exists in the
xfrm6 input addr() function. The issue occurs when the secpath is full, caused by an off-by-one error in the depth check. When the transport-mode receive path re-enters IPv6 input via xfrm trans reinject() and the inner packet contains a type-2 routing header or a destination-options HAO option, the function may write one slot past the 6-element xvec[] array. This can lead to a system panic under certain configurations.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
