Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Qt versions 6.0.0 through 6.8.8 Qt versions 6.9.0 through 6.11.1
Description An out-of-bounds read, also known as a buffer over-read, occurs during the parsing of the HTTP Cache-Control response header within the QtNetwork module. A remote attacker can trigger a denial of service resulting in an application crash by sending an excessively large Cache-Control header value from an untrusted or compromised HTTP server to an application utilizing QNetworkAccessManager. This issue exclusively affects the client side of the connection and does not impact 32-bit builds. The access is read-only, meaning no information is disclosed and no arbitrary code is executed.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
